Prep for PSAT/NMSQT 8/9
Test date: Oct 14, 2026 (MCPS)
Students: Grade 8
Benefits: The test score determines the admissions into certain regional criteria-based programs.
Objective: Designed to help ambitious students prepare early for the PSAT/NMSQT, this program offers four full-length mock exams to build student confidence.
Feature: We help students tackle assessments using critical thinking and mental problem-solving rather than relying on calculators or digital tools.
Like the MAP assessment, the PSAT/NMSQT is delivered digitally, but it has several distinct structural differences:
-
It integrates both math and English into a single unified exam.
-
It is strictly timed with no scheduled breaks between modules.
-
It utilizes a multi-stage adaptive format: Module 1 features a mixed-difficulty set of questions for all test-takers, while Module 2 branches into two tiers based on performance, routing high-achieving students to the more challenging second module.
The resulting scores provide tangible benchmarks to help students navigate their future college choices with confidence.
The perfect score in a PSAT 8/9 test is 1440 (not 1600)
